The University of Iowa Support Services building is a 194,400 square foot facility where Climate Engineers provided our design engineering services. The Design Build process provides better budget management, enhanced communication, faster project completion, and overall savings for building owners.
UFG has historically partnered with Climate Engineers on HVAC projects for over 70 years. Projects include recovery from the 2008 flood and floor-by-floor remodels. We have helped with design, fabrication and installation and make a big difference on a project’s bottom line.
Twenty-four Air Handling Units at St. Luke’s Hospital are Climate Engineers designed, fabricated, and built in existing spaces. Over 20 years of projects include the Nassif Heart Center, patient floor remodels, and many energy retrofit upgrades.

The new Davenport Kraft plant was built in 2017 to replace an aging facility located by the Mississippi River. Climate installed the HVAC system including ductwork, rooftop units, make-up air units and exhaust fans. Much of the ductwork had to be coordinated to be above the USA insulated ceiling and had to be fabricated from stainless steel. We also had to utilize a helicopter to set over 70 pieces of roof-mounted equipment.
